Body of RMAF pilot Major Kayamboo claimed for burial

BUTTERWORTH: The body of Major Kayamboo Chellam, who was killed when the aircraft he was piloting crashed yesterday, was claimed by his family today. His sister, C. Gayathri, 36, said that they took the body back home from the Seberang Jaya Hospital mortuary at 3am. "We decided to take Kayamboo's body to our house in Taman Sri Nibong after the post mortem was done at 2.30am. "We will be conducting funeral rites from 2pm to 4pm and then take the body to the Baru Lancang burial grounds," she said. Kayamboo was killed, while three others were seriously injured, when the Beechcraft B200T aircraft they were on crashed at the Butterworth Airbase here yesterday at 5.18pm. Kayamboo leaves behind a wife, children aged 2 to 12, four sisters and parents.
