Bad weather in Eastern Canada is causing some flight delays today, and one WestJet flight has been cancelled so far.
The airline's 6:15 a.m. departure to Toronto was cancelled because of weather this morning, and an inbound and outbound flight to Calgary is delayed later this morning as well.
The airline said the weather in the east can cause a trickle-down delay in places where the weather is fine, because planes don't always just fly between just one city pair. An aircraft from Toronto may fly to Calgary, for example, and then make its next flight to Regina. A late Toronto departure can lead to delays later in the day throughout the airline's schedule.
Check with your airline or the Regina airport website if you are flying today to be sure your flight is still on time.
