Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba says a top four position in itself is not good enough for the club, stating his ambition to be top of the Premier League.
“We don’t want to be in the top four, we want to be at the top,” Pogba told SFR Sport.
“But to get there, we have to take that step first. We’re going to keep working and not give up on anything.
“We have to continue on our good run as we did in the Europa League and with Tottenham last week. We have to keep going. Chelsea are putting games together. To be at the top, you have to put together games, put together wins. We’re in a good spell, we have to keep it going.”
Pogba’s opener got United on their way to a crucial late 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace – and assisted Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a late winner. The French midfielder now has six goals in 22 appearances since joining for a world record fee in the summer transfer window and is enjoying a current unbeaten run of nine matches after a turbulent return to life at Old Trafford.
