Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is close to signing a new contract with the Bundesliga giants, reports from Germany claim. The Polish striker is said to have reached economic agreement with the club and is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal which is set to expire in 2021.
Lewandowski’s salary is going to be raised from the current € 10 million-a-year deal to an improved € 15-million-a-year, making him one of the most paid footballer after the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Bayern Munich should announce the striker’s contract extension soon before entering new contract talks with Arjen Robben who sees his current deal at the Allianz Arena expiring at the end of the season.
Franck Ribery has already put pen to paper on a new deal and is going to stay at the club until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
