The Italy international is said to have a buy-out clause in his Torino contract worth around £85m.
And their sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has claimed a bid from Arsenal below their valuation has been turned down.We received and refused a €65m offer from Arsenal for Andrea Belotti, but it does not reflect the value of the player,” Petrachi told Sky Italia.
"Anyway, he is going nowhere for now. We want to enjoy him, then we'll see what happens.
"We intend to keep Belotti and president Urbano Cairo signed this important buy-out clause. I think he's worth more than they have offered."However, Sky Sports say Arsenal sources insist no January offer has been tabled for Belotti.
According to the Evening Standard too, the Gunners are planning to leave major transfer business until the summer with no approach made to Torino.
In the meantime, Wenger’s focus will continue to circle around the futures of his key players, such as Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. The latter has spent much of the season playing as a striker, and Arsenal will have to replace their Chilean star if his future is not resolved.
Sanchez and Ozil’s contracts have 18 months left, but talks are ongoing.
Arsenal’s German playmaker even claimed today his future at the Emirates is reliant on Arsene Wenger staying as manager.
