Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller uses hilarious passport prank to avoid the press after returning from Doha

Some footballers will do anything to avoid speaking to the press and Thomas Muller is no exception.
The Bayern Munich star has seen his future at the club questioned in recent weeks, with his manager Carlo Ancelotti forced to bat away suggestions the Germany international is no longer in his plans.
And clearly in no mood to answer any questions himself, Muller appeared to be deep in conversation on his phone when he appeared through the arrivals entrance at Munich airport.

A number of reporters had gathered to grab a quick word with any one of the Bayern travelling party following a successful winter training camp in Doha which included a 5-0 win over Belgian outfit Eupen, but any chance to speak to the 27-year-old forward looked lost when he hurried through arrivals with his device stuck to the side of his face.
However, as Muller got closer to the journalists, it became apparent that all was not as it seemed.
A glint of green, along with a glint in the notorious prankster's eye, gave the game away as reporters realised that the World Cup winner was trying to dupe them, using his German passport as a makeshift handset.

It didn't stop some from following him in attempt to grab an insight into his immediate future at the Bundesliga champions, but Muller ploughed on regardless, leaving the rest of the pack to chuckle at yet another one of his games.

It hasn't all been a barrel of laughs for Bayern's No 25 this season, who has only managed one goal in 13 league appearances this season.
Lothar Mattheus has suggested that Muller could be on his way out at the Allianz Arena, stating that Ancelotti has no room for the forward in his team, while the player himself has admitted that his season has not gone to plan so far.
He will be hoping to put it back on track when Bayern return to Bundesliga action at Freiburg on January 20.
